Because of the stupidity of the world today, I decided to write a list of a rules (in no order) that I think are a no brainer. This list will change as my values and new information changes. Oh, and this list is particularly for the US.

Sensible Laws

• Labor: 4-day work week. No-compete clauses banned. Employee transportation cost counted as work liability and should be compensated (eg. traveling to/from work).
• Wages: Flat, inflation-linked livable wage
• Benefits: Guaranteed PTO, maternity/paternity leave.
• Pricing: All-inclusive pricing (tax/tips included). No specialized discounts; all prices must be public on a single webpage.
• Currency: Corporations restricted to USD (no points/crypto). Abolish coins.
• Governance: Ranked-choice voting. National ID system. One-click tax filing.
• Corporate: Ban stock buybacks. Mandatory shareholder disclosure. Consolidate on one name after acquisitions.
• Taxation: Higher taxes on the rich 1. Public disclosure of all income/wealth.
• Housing: Convert offices to “15-minute city” hubs. Legalize SROs.
• Infrastructure: Metric system. No daylight savings. Guarded bike lanes. Nationalized/free public transport.
• Tech/Privacy: CCPA-style privacy. Repeal Patriot Act. Right to repair. Net neutrality. No OS-level age verification. All code is open source.
• Healthcare: Lower prescription costs via earlier generics. Global vaccine distribution.
• Ethics: Ethical supply chains. Abolish all forms of slavery 1. No death penalty. Sensible immigration. Be/Love who you want, as long as it’s consentual.
• Environment: Work with nature, not against it 1 & 2. Plant edible public landscapes instead of grass. Fight climate change.
• Trade: Direct car sales (bypass dealerships). Let failing businesses fail; pay citizens instead.
• Global: Increased international aid. Regulate weapons. Worldwide UBI.

Goals To Strive for

• Guarantee food, water, shelter, and healthcare.
• Reform: Abolish presidency. No more elections, anyone can represent themself or choose someone to represent them, which can be changed at any time. SCOTUS term limits.
• Standardization: Universal UTC timezone. Single world currency (USD merge into Euro? Crypto (risky)? Bancor?).
• Gov-Corp: State-owned companies to regulate industries through competition. Failed private firms merge into these public entities.
